Major Hiking Trail Upgrade Project Launched in Peloponnese, Greece
A new agreement has been signed in Tripoli for a €2.9 million project aimed at upgrading and enhancing the existing hiking trails in the Peloponnese region. The contract, signed by Regional Governor Dimitris Ptochou and Marino Beretsos of the Development Organization ‘Parnonas A.E.’, focuses on developing hiking tourism and promoting the area’s natural and cultural heritage. The project will modernize a network of 1,729 km of trails, making it the largest certified network in Greece and one of the largest in Europe, with an expected completion within 12 months.
