Man Charged with Animal Cruelty and Theft at Dublin International Protection Site
Darren Jackson, a 39-year-old man, is facing charges for allegedly stabbing two pigs and stealing keys at the Thornton Hall site in Dublin. He has been granted bail with conditions, including staying away from International Protection sites. The pigs were found injured and later euthanized, while plans for the site to become an accommodation center are currently stalled due to legal issues. Jackson is scheduled to return to court on January 28, 2025.
