Man Denies Attempted Murder and Burglary in Nottingham Dog Theft Incident

Julian Mead, 40, has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and burglary related to a dog theft case in Nottingham. Following an incident on October 1 that left a woman seriously injured and her bulldog, Winnie, missing, Mead was initially charged under the Pet Abduction Act but saw the charge upgraded to burglary. Injuries to the woman, in her 40s, are reported as not life-threatening. Mead appeared in court via video link and remains in custody until his trial scheduled for March 24.
