McDonald’s UK CEO Reports 29 Dismissals Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations
Alistair Macrow, CEO of McDonald’s UK, announced that 29 employees were dismissed over sexual harassment allegations in the past year. Addressing Parliament, he labeled the allegations as ‘abhorrent’ and emphasized ongoing efforts to create a safer workplace. He revealed that while 75 sexual harassment claims were made, 47 were upheld. Despite progress, Macrow acknowledged that he could not guarantee the absence of future claims. The discussion also touched upon the contentious issue of zero-hours contracts affecting nearly 89% of the workforce.
