NASA Launches Independent Study Group on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
NASA has announced the formation of an independent study group to investigate Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) this autumn, aiming to deepen scientific understanding and enhance data collection methods. This initiative seeks to clarify aerial events that cannot be identified as known aircraft or natural phenomena, acknowledging their implications for national security and air safety. NASA emphasizes that there is no evidence linking UAP to extraterrestrial origins, and plans to leverage its extensive Earth observation resources to better comprehend these mysterious occurrences. The team will be led by astrobiologist David Spergel and Daniel Evans from NASA.
