New Left Party Nears Conclusion of Inaugural Congress
The New Left’s inaugural congress is set to conclude with the election of its Central Committee and president. During today’s session, proposals by Alexis Haritsis for the Central Committee’s composition received overwhelming support. The committee will consist of 130 members, including 11 representatives from the parliament, and aims for a balanced representation of youth and gender. Notably, 10% of the members will be newcomers to senior party roles, aligning with the party’s renewal strategy. Specific bylaw regulations will be voted on electronically.
