A New York judge has denied President-elect Donald Trump’s request to postpone his sentencing in a hush money case, which is set for January 10, 2025. Judge Juan Merchan ruled against delaying the proceedings despite Trump’s imminent inauguration. This decision comes after Trump was convicted in May of 34 counts related to falsifying business records to conceal a payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels. Trump, the first former president convicted of a crime, may appear in person or virtually at the sentencing.
