Photographer Dola Posh Confronts Postnatal Depression Through Art
Dola Posh, a Nigerian photographer based in the UK, shares her battle with postnatal depression following the birth of her daughter, Monioluwa. Amid the isolation of the COVID-19 lockdown, Dola grappled with her loss of identity and overwhelming emotions. Turning to photography as a therapeutic outlet, she created a poignant portfolio that embodies her struggles and encourages discussions around mental health, particularly among black mothers.
