Poitiers Shooting: Suspect Surrenders as Investigation Unfolds
A suspect linked to a shooting in Poitiers that resulted in one death and four injuries, all minors, has turned himself in to police in Paris and is in custody. The shooting, connected to drug trafficking, prompted an investigation for attempted homicide, according to prosecutor Cyril Lacombe. A police raid in Poitiers uncovered ammunition and parts of a dismantled weapon at a location tied to the suspect. Initial claims by the Interior Minister about rival gang clashes were clarified by authorities, confirming only minor skirmishes occurred among a much smaller group.
