This law mandates companies to address issues like exploitation and environmental harm, with fines reaching up to 5% of global annual revenue. Al-Kaabi argues that the current demands of the law are unfeasible for a large company like QatarEnergy, which he leads, and he is open to discussing a cap on penalties based solely on European revenues.
