A fire broke out yesterday evening in the Prophet Elias area of Maroneia-Sappes, Rhodope. Swift action by local firefighting teams with seven water tankers and 14 personnel, along with six members from the hiking unit of the 7th EMODE, helped bring the situation under control. Support from the municipality’s water vehicles and the Red Cross was also crucial in firefighting efforts, ensuring a prompt response to the emergency.
