The busiest day was August 10, with 93 charter flights. Ongoing construction projects aim to enhance safety and infrastructure, mandated for completion by the next July, while calls for recruitment of air traffic controllers and electronic engineers are also being made. The airport’s radar equipment, which is over 25 years old, urgently needs an upgrade to ensure air traffic safety.
