Ottavia Piana, a 32-year-old Italian speleologist, fell five meters while exploring the Abisso Bueno Forteno cave near Bergamo. After sustaining injuries to her knee, face, and ribs, rescue teams reached her on Monday, using a stretcher secured with steel cables. The operation is expected to take around 48 more hours. Piana, who previously suffered an injury in the same cave two years ago, has stated she will never again enter a cave.
