Vassilis Oikonomou has resigned as the Coordinator of the SYRIZA party in Ioannina, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s current direction. In his resignation letter, he criticized the recent party congress for excluding thousands of delegates and operating in isolation from its members and society. Oikonomou expressed concern that the decisions made were contrary to the principles of the Left, stating that SYRIZA has strayed from its ethical foundations.
