Rising Demand for Physician Office Space Sparks Collaborative Solutions in Dutch Cities
As the number of physicians in the Netherlands grows, so does the demand for adequate office space. Increasing numbers of ‘H-teams’—alliances of local governments, health alliances, and insurers—are emerging to assist doctors in urban areas like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. According to the LHV, 75% of general practitioners struggle with space shortages exacerbated by the need for additional consultation rooms. This collaboration aims to address real estate challenges, ensuring that healthcare professionals can meet community needs effectively, as they face stiff competition from commercial entities amidst rising property costs.
