Russia Detains Uzbekistan Citizen in Connection with Killing of General Igor Kirillov
Russian security forces have detained a 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan in connection with the killing of Lt Gen Igor Kirillov, head of the Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defence Forces, and his assistant. The incident occurred in Moscow when an explosive device hidden in a scooter was detonated remotely. According to state media, the suspect was allegedly recruited by Ukrainian intelligence, while a Ukrainian source claimed the operation was carried out by Ukraine’s security service.
