The incident raised concerns due to the absence of water nearby and proximity to dense shrubbery. Fire Chief Nikolaos Kallas emphasizes the need for local residents to adhere to safety regulations, including burning only permitted materials and taking precautions, especially during windy conditions. Residents are reminded that burning dry weeds and small branches is permitted from November 1.
