Spain Unveils €10.6 Billion Aid Package Following Devastating Floods

In response to the catastrophic floods that have claimed 218 lives, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced a €10.6 billion aid package aimed at supporting the hardest-hit regions. Most casualties occurred in Valencia, where recovery efforts are ongoing. The government will allocate €838 million for direct assistance to affected individuals, who can receive up to €60,000 for home repairs and €10,300 for replacing essential items. As search operations continue for the missing, nearly 15,000 rescue personnel are actively working in flooded areas to provide relief.
