Strasbourg Teachers Protest for Students Without Housing
Educators at the Lezay Marnésia College in Strasbourg have occupied their school for three nights to highlight the dire housing situation of some students, with thirteen families reportedly homeless since the school year began. Teachers demand that vacant housing at the school be utilized as temporary shelter during the winter. Despite resistance from the local authorities, the dedicated staff continues to organize shifts and provide support for each other while raising awareness about their students’ struggles. Previous similar protests in Toulouse resulted in families being temporarily relocated, inspiring the current protest.
