Tensions Escalate Between Serbia and Kosovo After Energy Plant Explosion
The explosion at an energy plant canal in Kosovo has sparked a tit-for-tat blame game between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Vucic insisted Serbia had no involvement and called for a thorough investigation, while Kurti labeled the incident a terrorist attack and suggested Serbian involvement. Following the explosion, several municipalities faced water shortages, and eight arrests were made, including Serbs. Vucic accused Kosovo’s leadership of attempting to undermine Serbian political participation ahead of upcoming elections.
