Thessaloniki Metro New Switzerland Station to Open on November 30
The New Switzerland metro station in Thessaloniki is set to open on November 30, according to Nikos Koureta, CEO of Greek Metro S.A. The station is part of an ongoing effort to enhance public transport in the city, with completion being expedited after delays due to land requisitions and legal issues. The project has a budget of 10 million euros, with an additional 25 million euros allocated for recent expropriations. This station will mark the eastern terminus of Line 1 and is expected to be the most modern multimodal transfer station in Greece.
