The exhibition ‘Some of Tom’s Typewriters’ will debut 35 typewriters from Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks in Sag Harbor, Long Island, starting January 11, 2025. Curator Simon Doonan expressed excitement over the collection’s ability to engage visitors of all ages. The exhibit is organized by artists April Gornik and Eric Fischl and aims to explore ‘material culture’ through various objects. Hanks, who continues to use typewriters for personal notes, reflects on their importance in his life.
