A woman in her 70s has died after being struck by a car in Charleville, Co Cork, around 2 pm yesterday. She and a man in his 60s were both seriously injured and transported to Cork University Hospital, where the woman was later pronounced dead. The man’s condition is stable. Garda forensic collision investigators have examined the scene, and a post-mortem is being arranged. Authorities are urging witnesses and anyone with relevant mobile phone or dash-cam footage to contact them, as the investigation continues.
