A severe car accident on the northern road axis of Crete resulted in two fatalities and one critically injured individual on Thursday evening. The collision involved two vehicles near Adele Cambou in Rethymno, trapping the occupants inside. Emergency responders worked swiftly to extract the victims, who were rushed to the Rethymno hospital. Tragically, a 66-year-old man died shortly after arrival, and a 40-year-old man succumbed to his injuries later, leaving his 65-year-old father in critical condition in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
