Tragic Fire Claims Lives at Retirement Home in Northern Spain
A devastating fire at the ‘Jardines de Villafranca’ retirement home in Villafranca del Ebro, northern Spain, has resulted in at least 10 fatalities. The blaze broke out around 5am, taking firefighters several hours to control. Of the 82 residents, it’s unclear if all victims were elderly residents. One individual remains in critical condition, and others are being treated for smoke inhalation. Emergency services, including heavy support from Zaragoza, are on-site, while investigations into the fire’s cause are ongoing.
