Victor So, one of five victims of the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, tragically lost his life while attempting to protect his family’s home. His sister, Sari So, recounted the heartbreaking moment she was forced to leave him behind as flames engulfed their Altadena area residence. A friend later found Victor’s body outside the charred house, still holding a garden hose, indicating his desperate effort to save the home that had been in the family for nearly 55 years.
