In the Austrian Alps, two winter sports enthusiasts lost their lives after being buried by an avalanche. The victims, a 51-year-old father and his 22-year-old son, were part of a group of four when they were caught by the avalanche while descending from the Rosskopf mountain. Rescuers faced difficulties locating them due to the avalanche beacon signal. Meanwhile, avalanche incidents in France and Switzerland have also resulted in fatalities, including a 14-year-old boy and Swiss snowboarder Sophie Hediger.
