The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) reported damage to its headquarters in southern Lebanon following an artillery shell strike. Fortunately, no UN peacekeepers were injured. Simultaneously, Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported 59 fatalities due to Israeli attacks on the same day, escalating the total death toll to at least 3,445 since October. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs warned of a worrying rise in casualties from Israeli airstrikes, particularly in densely populated areas across the country.
