Although non-classified documents were accessed, there’s no indication that the hacker still has access. The Treasury is cooperating with the FBI and intelligence agencies to assess the breach. This incident follows a history of U.S. accusations against China regarding state-sponsored cyberattacks, including previous breaches affecting high-profile politicians such as Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
