Veteran Speaks Out After False Accusation of Theft at Morrisons
Jez Daniels, a former police officer and RAF veteran, is calling for an apology from Morrisons after being wrongly accused of shoplifting and banned from all stores in the UK. Daniels, who was targeted while wearing a mask during the pandemic, believes he was racially profiled. He described the distressing experience when staff followed him and subsequently accused him of being aggressive and suspicious. After reviewing CCTV footage, he felt vindicated as it contradicted Morrisons’ claims. Though the ban has been lifted as a ‘gesture of goodwill,’ Daniels seeks formal recognition of the wrong done to him.
