Watchdog Investigation Findings in Katie Simpson Murder Case to Be Revealed

The family of Katie Simpson, a murdered showjumper, will receive the findings of a Police Ombudsman investigation into the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s handling of her case. Initially believed to be a suicide, her death in 2020 led to the arrest of her partner, Jonathan Creswell, who was charged with murder but died before trial. The PSNI Chief Constable admitted to significant early investigative failures, acknowledging a lack of professional curiosity in assessing the situation.
