The World Health Organization (WHO) plans to evacuate more than 100 Palestinian patients from Gaza, including children injured in bombings and those with chronic conditions. The patients will be transported to the Kerem Shalom border crossing, with many set to fly to the United Arab Emirates and around 30 to Romania. Despite urgent medical needs for up to 14,000 Gazans, this evacuation represents a rare instance, as only 282 patients have been evacuated since the Rafah crossing closure in May. WHO experts continue to call for more permanent solutions for medical evacuations.
