Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to visit Peru and Brazil next week to attend the APEC and G20 summits. In Lima, from November 13-17, he will participate in the 31st APEC meeting, strengthening economic ties with member nations. He will then travel to Rio de Janeiro from November 17-21, meeting with leaders from the world’s largest economies. This visit coincides with Brazil’s ambitions to enhance relations with both China and the U.S., as both nations seek mediating roles in the Ukraine conflict and may strengthen ties through China’s Belt and Road Initiative.
